  • Ordering Process

    Do custom designs cost more?

    In short, NO!  We encourage and implore you to submit a custom design!  It keeps us on our creative toes!  We have the pre-built bars on our site for inspiration.  You can use them if you want but your event is unique to you, so why should your design be any different?  You can submit your custom design by clicking "Create a Custom Bar" and completing the form that follows. Once we receive your order we will work up a proof within 3 business days.  Nothing goes to print without your final approval.

    How long does it take?

    At ChocolateCovers, We are proud of our ability to process personalized products when you need them. Depending on the shipping method you select, we can process most orders within two weeks. If you have a rush order, please order via phone (888-440-9727) so we can be sure your order is fulfilled.  A rush charge may apply for orders due within 7 days.

    Can I order wrappers without the candy?

    Want to DIY?  We do offer the option of ordering personalized wrappers without the chocolate. We recommend the use of a non-toxic (regular) glue stick as your adhesive.

    Is there a minimum order requirement?

    Our minimum order is 100 pieces for miniatures or wrappers and 25 for regular sized bars or wrappers.

    What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

    Can I see a proof before my order is shipped?

    We want your ChocolateCovers order to be perfect!!  Once we complete your design, we will email you a copy for your approval. You can then make changes, add information, add photos etc at no additional cost. 

    How do I send you my photos or images?

    Sending Photos or Art:  Images can be uploaded via the Create a Custom Bar form. Otherwise, we prefer images to be emailed to sales@chocolatecovers.com.  However, we are happy to accept your photos via "Snail" Mail and will return them with your shipped order.  Please include your name and order number when sending your images.  If mailing a photograph or artwork, we would prefer a quality reprint of your original image. ChocolateCovers cannot be held responsible for images lost in transit. Please mail your image to:

    We will accept your photo or artwork with the understanding that you have obtained any permission for use that may be required. We will not knowingly violate any copyright regulations.

    Cropping: Due to various frame shapes on our designs, your uncropped photo gives us greater flexibility for sizing and fitting into the allotted space.  For best results, please allow us to crop your photo for you. 

    Digital Files or Formats: We accept most types of photos and artwork. Files saved at higher resolutions will yield better prints.

    What about personalizing the back of the bar?

    On the flip side of the candy bar there is space to add even more information!  We can create the custom back that you are looking for by adding text related to the event, the people involved, more pictures, and anything else. When placing your order, specify the standard back design that you want, then provide us with your special event details and leave the rest to us!

  • Shipping

    What does it cost to have my order shipped?

    We use UPS to ship our orders. We're happy to say that ground shipping is FREE for orders of $75 or more!  Otherwise, shipping charges are estimated on a weight basis per order, factoring in the destination and shipping method. After you have selected your products, your shipping charges will be estimated in your shopping cart. 

    What about shipping in warm weather?

    We take special precautions when shipping chocolate, and that includes shipping with insulated boxes containing ice packs when the weather warrants doing so (we typically use 70 degrees as a baseline for using insulated packaging), at no additional cost to you.

    Circumstances out of our control that could affect the quality of your chocolate delivery:

    Delay in delivery

    Incorrect or forwarded address

    No one to accept package

    Package left on doorstep or outside

    Animals get into package

    Do I need to be present to accept my order delivery?

    Nothing is worse than melted chocolate so we do recommend that you provide a shipping address where someone will be available to accept the package delivery and immediately care for it. If you know you will not be home on the delivery date, we suggest having the order shipped to your workplace, a friend, relative or neighbor.

    Saturday Delivery

    UPS Saturday delivery is available at an additional charge for most, but not all zip codes.

    What does the price per bar include?

    The price per bar includes the chocolate, the design and wrapping of the bar.
